The newly appointed Managing Director of the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government – Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, on ways to jointly block all the leakages in the First Party Signage permit and boost revenue for the government.

Speaking at the meeting held with the council boss in Palm Avenue, the Prince and son to the Oba of Lagos (HRM Oba Rilwan Akiolu), expressed his passion and zeal to rebrand the agency and reposition it to its original status which was instituted during its establishment some years ago, by the state government

He requested for support and assistance of the chairman to have a cordial relationship that will accommodate his staff, for effective operation and successful positioning of the agency to corporate organisations and business owners in Mushin Local Government. He pointed out that a huge sum of money is being lost annually due to non compliance in the payment of signage fee by corporate organisations and the need to carry out enforcement exercise, in order to generate more revenue for the government.

Hon. Bamigboye in his response, expressed his feelings about some revenue activities, used as temporary employment for youths in the Local Government, which have been taken over by the state. He assured the Prince of his support towards achieving his goals and requested for the engagement of youths in his community for employment into the agency’s activities, as means to keep them off the streets and make them tools for the development of both the Local Government and state

The grassroots leader also advised the LASAA boss to make a request for his needs and areas of assistance as he is ready to assist in talking to the corporate organisations and business owners in his community, on the need to register and pay their signage fees annually.

While giving his remark, the Council Manager – Comrade Sogo Osikoya, commended Prince Fatiu Akiolu for the steps taken to build a mutual relationship with the Local Government boss. He assured him of total support as he gave a little exposition of his role towards the successful establishment of the agency by its pioneer MD.

Also at the meeting, the Council Treasurer – Mrs. Laide Badmus, thanked the Prince for his visit while the Head of Information Unit – Mrs. Bisi Aderinto, and Head of Health and Medial department – Dr. Kayode Odufuwa, joined in receiving the MD of LASAA.
