You will recall that Gahawards has held this distinguished event on the African continent for a decade, recognizing people and organizations whose extraordinary efforts have enhanced the lives of others and
promoted a culture of Peace and humanitarian assistance.


As a humanitarian myself, touched by the plight of women and youth in
Africa, I and my team have been able to achieve six of the eight millennium development goals (MDGs) through the Gahawards platform in significant partnership with GMYT Foundation as well as other
stakeholders in the humanitarian development space. These is evident in the eradication of extreme poverty and hunger, development of universal primary education, promotion of gender equality and women empowerment, reduction of child mortality, improvement of maternal health, Fight against diseases, environmental sustainability and ensuring
global partnership for development. Practically, thousands of youths and women have been empowered with skill acquisition scholarships, sewing machines, free accommodation and start-up funds worth hundreds of millions of naira.


Ladies and gentlemen, join me to be part of this journey to further encourage and inspire social justice in Africa. Relentlessly towards
achieving the 2030 vision of empowering 10000 women and youth, I have decided to open scholarship slots for the year 2023. We have just opened a portal to train one thousand young people over the course of the
following year with free fashion skill acquisition in a standard en-suite learning environment, with internship, hostel space, grants and funding facilities, facilitators, as well as business mentors. Your assistance and collaboration. which can take the form of funding, guidance, or opportunities for internships, etc. Together we can achieve a world of hope, positive influence and social justice for Africa.
