Governor Radda Flags Off 14km Daura Western Bypass as Part of Katsina’s Urban Renewal Programme

As part of our ongoing statewide tour of the 34 Local Government Areas, I was in Daura earlier today to flag off the construction of the 14km Daura Western Bypass Dual Carriageway, another major milestone in our Urban Renewal Programme designed to modernize and transform cities across Katsina State.

With a 14-month completion timeline and 40% advance payment already released to the contractors, this project will ease movement, strengthen trade, and significantly enhance the physical landscape of the historic city of Daura. All affected households will be fully compensated upon the conclusion of ongoing assessments.
Our Urban Renewal Program is currently reshaping Katsina, Funtua, and Daura, alongside over 200km of road construction and rehabilitation across all 34 LGAs.
These interventions are designed to create functional, attractive, and economically vibrant communities for our people.
We remain committed to transparency, quality, and value for money throughout every project. I appreciate the people of Daura Emirate for their continuous cooperation and support.
