Tetracore Energy Group has recorded a major milestone with the successful commissioning of Ghana’s first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facility, delivered through its subsidiary, Tetracore Gas Ghana Limited.

The facility represents a significant advancement in Ghana’s energy landscape, providing cleaner, more reliable and cost-effective gas solutions while supporting the country’s energy transition objectives and broader sustainable development goals across Africa.

The commissioning ceremony drew high-level participation from both Ghana and Nigeria, highlighting strong cross-border collaboration in the energy sector. The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including representatives of the Presidency of Ghana—led by the Managing Director of NNPC Gas Marketing Limited—the Honourable Minister for Energy and Green Transition, senior government officials, industry leaders, financiers, development partners and other key stakeholders.

According to Tetracore, the project underscores the Group’s long-term vision to become Africa’s most preferred energy solutions provider. The expansion into Ghana builds on Tetracore’s growing footprint across the continent and reflects its commitment to delivering critical gas infrastructure that drives economic growth, strengthens energy security and promotes environmental responsibility.

With an initial processing capacity of 5.1 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), the facility is designed for scalability. Tetracore has confirmed plans to expand capacity to 10 MMSCFD in the coming months, reinforcing its long-term investment in Ghana’s energy sector. The Group noted that the Ghana project serves as a launchpad for further expansion into additional African markets.
