Yesterday marked a year since I took office as your representative in the House of Representatives. This journey has been one of unwavering commitment, hard work, and relentless pursuit of progress for the Badagry Federal Constituency.

In this past year, I have dedicated myself to addressing the pressing needs of our community. We facilitated the rehabilitation of key roads such as the Mowo/Ikoga Road, ensuring better connectivity and safer travels. Our distribution of seven tricycles to empower our youth and women is just one example of our continuous efforts to create economic opportunities and foster self-reliance.

We have also focused on education and community support. From supporting the Weme dialect-speaking people during the Ogu Language Day celebration to recognizing our teachers on World Teachers’ Day, we have shown our commitment to valuing education and cultural heritage. Our interventions during the flooding crises, providing relief to over 800 affected victims, highlight our dedication to immediate and effective response to emergencies.
Engaging with key stakeholders has been a cornerstone of our strategy. Meetings with top officials, including the Governor of Lagos State and the Honorable Minister of Tourism, have paved the way for critical discussions and initiatives aimed at promoting tourism and preventing further flooding in our constituency.

Our oversight functions, such as participating in a 3-day session at the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) in Topo, and our advocacy for increased budgetary allocations, underscore our commitment to ensuring robust governance and development. We have facilitated vocational training for our youth, supported cultural festivals, and provided welfare assistance to those in need.

As I reflect on this year, I am filled with immense pride in what we have achieved together. Your unwavering support has been my strength and motivation. The road ahead is long, but with your continued trust, we will keep pushing boundaries and achieving greater heights.
