In a scathing critique of the current state of affairs in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Dr. Obinna Simon, popularly known as MC Tagwaye, has declared his candidacy for the AMAC chairmanship under the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

He lambasted the incumbent chairman, accusing him of being out of touch with the needs of AMAC residents. “70% of AMAC residents don’t even know the color of their chairman’s efforts because of his lack of capacity to deliver dividends of democracy,” he stated.

Tagwaye highlighted the council’s woes, including inadequate infrastructure, limited access to healthcare, exorbitant rents, and scarce job opportunities. “Our schools lack toilets, our hospitals are under-equipped, and our youths are jobless,” he lamented

The SDP chairmanship aspirant vowed to rescue AMAC from its current state of neglect and incompetence. His vision includes:

– Equipping them with skills and resources to succeed
– Establishing cottage industries to stimulate economic growth
– Implementing prompt emergency response systems and visual monitoring
– Upgrading schools and hospitals to provide better services

MC Tagwaye’s candidacy has generated excitement among AMAC residents, who are eager for change. “The current chairman has failed us,” said one resident. “We need a leader who will prioritize our needs and deliver results.”

With his declaration, MC Tagwaye has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging the incumbent chairman and other aspirants to prove their worth. The question on everyone’s mind is: can MC Tagwaye rescue AMAC from its current state of crisis? Only time will tell.
