PORT HARCOURT, RIVERS STATE — The Creek to Creek Movement, under the leadership of its Director-General, High Chief Dr Mike Ebi Ayapaye, is set to host the Creek to Creek Summit 2026, a major stakeholder gathering aimed at advancing conversations around the development, inclusion and future of Nigeria’s creek and riverine communities.

The summit is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Obi Wali International Conference Centre, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The event is expected to bring together traditional rulers, community leaders, government officials, policymakers, political leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, development partners, youths, women and representatives of civil society organisations.

The summit will focus on critical issues affecting creek and riverine communities, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, employment, security and economic opportunities.

Under High Chief Ayapaye’s leadership, the Creek to Creek Movement continues to champion grassroots participation and greater inclusion, with emphasis on creating meaningful platforms where community concerns can be heard and translated into practical development initiatives.

The 2026 summit is designed to strengthen collaboration among communities, government, the private sector and development partners while promoting sustainable solutions to the challenges facing the creeks.
