Barrister Damilola Ayomide Ayinde-Marshal, daughter of celebrated Fuji legend Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, has officially declared her intention to contest for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Damilola, who currently serves as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, made the announcement via a post shared on Instagram on Tuesday.

In her declaration, the legal practitioner expressed her ambition to represent Surulere Constituency II, pledging a leadership style centered on inclusive representation, youth empowerment, community development, and effective legislative service.

Her announcement has since sparked conversations within political and social circles, with many describing her entrance into the race as another significant step toward strengthening women’s participation in governance and leadership.
