A broad coalition of community organisations, professional bodies, faith-based groups, and political stakeholders across Surulere has endorsed Hon. (Barr.) Barakat Odunuga-Bakare for Surulere Constituency I, Lagos State House of Assembly.

Political observers describe the growing endorsements as a strong indication of rising momentum ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election scheduled for May 2026, as well as the 2027 general elections.

The endorsements followed a series of grassroots engagements and consultations held across the constituency in recent weeks. Key supporters include the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), market women associations, auto dealers and technicians, APC non-indigene blocs, the Federal Fire Service community at Nwaka Barracks, the Dipo Jaji Support Group, and the Surulere APC Executive Committee.

With expanding grassroots support and strategic stakeholder alliances, Hon. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare continues to strengthen her position as a leading advocate for inclusive governance, effective representation, and sustainable development in Surulere.
