In line with its mandate to enhance livestock productivity and market access, the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project has intensified engagement with the private sector through a visit to the ABIS Group’s integrated livestock processing facility in Abuja.

The visit, led by the National Project Coordinator alongside senior project officials, took place at the ultra-modern processing plant located in the Idu Industrial Area of the Federal Capital Territory. The facility, which is nearing completion, is designed to support large-scale, end-to-end livestock processing and value addition.

Discussions during the tour focused on potential areas of collaboration aimed at linking L-PRES-supported livestock clusters in participating states with structured and reliable markets. Such partnerships are expected to strengthen value-chain integration, improve off-take mechanisms for livestock producers, and promote sustainable commercialization under the L-PRES Project.

The engagement underscores L-PRES’s commitment to fostering public-private partnerships that drive inclusive growth, boost resilience within the livestock sector, and create long-term economic opportunities for producers across the country.
