THE TWO-DAY INAUGURAL CONFERENCE OF HONOURABLE COMMISSIONERS OF WOMEN AFFAIRS IN NIGERIA IN COMMEMORATION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2024
In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2024, the inaugural conference of Honourable Commissioners of Women Affairs in Nigeria took place in FCT, and was hosted by the Federal Ministry Of Women Affairs in collaboration with ROLAC – Rule Of Law And Anti-Corruption.
The 36 State Women commissioners & Mandate Secretary of FCT were present, along with their permanent secretaries & the Asst Director Women of FCT.
The Minister Of Women Affairs, Barrister Uju Kennedy described the gathering as a significant moment for women across the nation, as it brings together key leaders and advocates to discuss and address critical issues facing women in Nigeria as a whole. Issues on redefining strategies of technical support and capacity rescaling for effective women’s empowerment, to detailing integrated platforms to amplify women’s voices, share best practices, and forge new strategies for advancing women’s rights and well-being.
As we come together to celebrate the connected achievements of International Women’s Day as leaders, let us also renew our commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
