The Director General of NIHOTOUR, Dr. Abisoye Fagade, earlier today had an interactive meeting with the general staff of the Institute’s head office in Abuja

The meeting had all Directors, Heads of Departments, Unit Heads, and the general staff in Abuja.

In his address, the DG emphasized fostering teamwork, cooperation, and mutual respect among staff to facilitate successful implementation of NIHOTOUR core mandate.

Dr. Fagade also outlined some of his key goals in the Institute including improving quality of trainings offered in NIHOTOUR to the industry; upgrading of NIHOTOUR facilities across the country and accelerating staff motivation at work.

Accordingly, the DG announced that, in furtherance of the Establishment Act of NIHOTOUR, the Institute will commerce the registration of practitioners in the hospitality, travels, and tourism sectors via the NIHOTOUR website from January 2025.

The Director General gave the following assurances:

  • Staff Welfare
  • commencement of Registration of practitioners and personnel in the sector
  • Development of a personnel and practice database for industry growth.
  • To make NIHOTOUR’s a premium agency of the Federal Government in the Next 2 Years.
