The Olugbo of Ugbo in Ondo State, Oba Frederick Akinruntan, yesterday, distanced himself from a viral video where a monarch was seen decorating and spraying a musician.

In the viral video, a monarch was placing N1000 notes, glued together on the neck of a musician.

Reacting to the video, the Chairman of Ugbo Youths, Samson Egwajane said: “We wish to clarify that the individual in the video is not Oba Frederick Akinruntan, who is known for his astute understanding of the value of money and his commitment to the welfare of his people.

“It is important to emphasise that the individual seen in the video is not affiliated with His Majesty, and any association made between the two is entirely false and misleading. We urge the public to exercise caution and discernment when encountering such content.

“Furthermore, we denounce the dissemination of false information and baseless rumours and we implore those involved in spreading such misinformation to desist from their actions.

“We categorically disassociate Oba Frederick Akinruntan, from the individual in the video and request that the public refrain from drawing unwarranted conclusions. Any further propagation of this misinformation may warrant divine retribution. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.”
