Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos Domestic and Sexual Violence Receives the Mandate Secretary, FCT Women Affairs Secretariat, Hon Dr Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi and Abia State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Commissioner Mrs. Ngozi Blessing Felix

It’s was a Study visit to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency and also to study some of the programmes and projects.

The team also visit the The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA)

Federal Capital Territory Women Affairs Secretariat and the Abia State Ministry of Women Affairs delegates pays a Study Visit to the Lagos DSVA.

It was another opportunity to learn and impart knowledge as delegates from the Federal Capital Territory Women Affairs Secretariat and the Abia State Ministry of Women Affairs embarked on a Study Visit to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency on the 24th of July, 2024.

The Executive Secretary, Mrs Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi in her welcome address and presentation, gave an overview and History of the Lagos DSVA. She harped on the need for commitment and resilience in building the desired Agency, approaching the issue from a multi disciplinary lens. Whilst talking about how the Agency has been able to make progress, she harped on the referral pathway  which has been mainstreamed into the various sectors. 

She ended her presentation by reemphasising the need for political will and used that opportunity to appreciate the Governor of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and by extension, the entire Government, the Hon. Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba as well as the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Obasa. 

She took the delegates on a tour of the facility and relayed the different functions the departments and units engage in.

While giving her opening remarks, the Mandate Secretary, FCT Women Affairs Secretariat, Dr. (Mrs) Adedayo Benjamin’s Laniyi gave a brief on the efforts of her office rising from an impeded relevance and in the 9 months of it’s creation the Office had embarked on sustainable initiatives to drive behavioural and attitudinal changes. 

Her counterpart ,Mrs Ngozi Blessing Felix, the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs Abia State thanked the DSVA for meeting with her team and said the Agency was the best in the country.
