Princess Atika Ajanah has been appointed as the Executive Director of Projects at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), a newly established regional development commission aimed at fostering growth and transformation in Nigeria’s Middle Belt. Her appointment, announced on May 9, 2025, by President Bola Tinubu, is seen as a strategic move to boost regional development in the North Central states, which include Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory.

As Executive Director of Projects, Princess Ajanah will oversee large-scale project implementation, monitor capital interventions, and drive stakeholder engagement across the region. Her experience in development advocacy, public policy, and leadership roles, including her previous position as a board member of the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), is expected to enhance sustainable infrastructure and economic development in the North Central region.
