Following their recent cabinet reshuffle and the creation of a standalone Ministry of Livestock Development, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda Ph.D. CON paid a courtesy visit today to the Honourable Minister of Livestock Development, Hon. Mukhtar Maiha, at the Federal Ministry in Abuja.

The visit underscores his administration’s commitment to collaborating with the Federal Government to advance the livestock sub-sector. He congratulated the Honourable Minister on his appointment and noted that Katsina State is the 18th in the federation to establish a dedicated Ministry of Livestock Development.

Dr. Dikko Umar Radda Ph.D. CON highlighted Katsina’s key initiatives — including a modern goat rearing farm with over 3,000 goats, the revival of grazing reserves, and plans for Halal meat processing plants through Public-Private Partnerships. He also called for closer collaboration to ensure Katsina’s inclusion in national livestock programmes under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He sincerely appreciate the Honourable Minister and his team for their warm reception and commitment to work closely with us. Katsina is ready and determined to lead in livestock production, agribusiness development, and food security.
