Building a Brighter Future for Livestock: ABIS Academy Launches

The ABIS Livestock Academy was officially launched today Tuesday, September 23, 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria, at the NIRSAL Auditorium.
The launch focused on advancing institutional knowledge transfer in the Nigerian livestock sector to foster sustainable development and self-reliance by equipping Nigerians with effective livestock management skills.
The event aligns with broader initiatives like the National Livestock Master Plan (NLMP), launched in September 2025, to transform Nigeria’s livestock industry through modern practices and infrastructure.
The ABIS launch is part of a larger effort to transform Nigeria’s livestock sector, as outlined in the NLMP, a 15-year blueprint launched in September 2025 by the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development.
The Minister of Livestock Development, Alhaji Idi Mukhtar was amongst the dignitaries who attended the launching.
The new academy, founded by Amb. Emmanuel Nelson Usman, CEO of ABIS Group, aims to provide advanced training to enhance expertise in Nigeria’s livestock sector, fostering sustainable development, job creation, and food security.
