At just 17 years old, Nafisa Abdullah Aminu from Yobe State has made Nigeria proud by emerging as the top English language performer globally at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals in London, United Kingdom — outperforming over 20,000 participants from 69 countries, including native English-speaking nations.

Nafisa’s exceptional achievement is a clear testament to the talent, discipline, and determination of Nigerian youths when given the right support and opportunities. She is not just a star student of Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), but also a shining example of what the future of our nation looks like.

Just recently, our women’s football team and D’Tigress were celebrated and rewarded with $100,000 each, three-bedroom flats, and national honours (OON) for their victories. Nafisa’s historic academic achievement deserves no less recognition.

I therefore align myself with prominent individuals to call on the Federal Government to honour Nafisa with a national award, financial reward, and housing support — and also extend recognition to her English teacher, just as coaches of our sports teams were celebrated.

Education is the passport to our future, and it is only right to reward excellence in it just as we do in sports. Nafisa has raised Nigeria’s flag high, and she deserves to be celebrated at the presidency.

Congratulations once again, Nafisa! Your success is a victory for all Nigerians. 🇳🇬
