The Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy has successfully hosted the Diplomatic and International Development Partners Forum at the United Nations House in Abuja. At the prestigious event, the DG of NCAC, Mr. Obi Asika had the honor and privilege to engage with Ambassadors from over 15 countries and key international development partners to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at advancing Nigeria’s Cultural and Creative Economy sectors.
During the forum, the ministry presented its detailed strategic roadmap, outlining key initiatives designed to promote and preserve Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. A highlight of the event was the art exhibition titled “Connected Culture,” curated by the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC). The exhibition offered attendees a vivid journey through Nigeria’s heritage, showcasing its artistic evolution from ancient times to the present day.
The DG of NCAC, Mr. Obi Asika joined the minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Bar. Hannatu Musa Musawa and the UN Resident Representative on the panel which discussed the future of the Creative industries.
This forum represents a giant stride in the ministry’s ongoing efforts to foster international partnerships and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth by enhancing the cultural and creative sectors’ impact on the nation’s GDP.
