Earlier today, Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan Member House of Representatives, representing Badagry Federal Constituency of Lagos, attended the Adhoc Committee meeting on Crude Oil Theft in Nigeria covering the period from 2010 to 2023. The meeting was chaired by Hon. Kabir Alhassan Rurum and was convened to address a memorandum submitted by the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI). It was mandated that they report back to the house within 6 weeks.
During the session, the committee extensively discussed the concerns outlined in the submitted memorandum. They also had fruitful deliberations on additional matters raised by ACOUSTO-ULTRASONIC INTEGRITY ENERGY SERVICES LTD. Their presentation on the innovative Pipeline Monitoring System, known as PIPELINE ANGEL II, sparked constructive discussions.
Hon Sesi was pleased to note that all esteemed committee members were present at the meeting, which demonstrated a comprehensive and collaborative effort to address the crucial issues within the petroleum sector.
