The Global Initiative Support Group for Sheriff 2027 has officially announced Saturday, 31st October 2026, for its inaugural/flag-off ceremony, scheduled to hold at Oharisi Primary School, Ughelli, Delta State, by 9:00 AM prompt.

The announcement marks a scheduled organisational engagement for the group as it prepares for the 2027 political season. The event is expected to bring together LGA Coordinators, youth leaders, women leaders, diaspora representatives, Senatorial District Leaders, members of the Media Team, committee leaders and other members of the movement.

According to the announcement signed by the group’s Secretary, Abednego E. Dikame, Esq., members are expected to make the necessary preparations ahead of the ceremony. Further details and specific arrangements will be communicated through the respective LGA Coordinators.

The group stated that the event forms part of its ongoing grassroots organisational activities in support of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, ahead of 2027.

PHYSICAL MEETING SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 25

In a related development, the leadership has announced a physical meeting for Sunday, 25th October 2026, at the group’s usual meeting venue in Ughelli, Delta State.

The meeting will focus on final preparations, coordination, logistics and mobilisation ahead of the inaugural/flag-off ceremony. Leaders, coordinators, committee members and other concerned stakeholders have been encouraged to attend.

The leadership expressed its expectation that members would participate in both engagements as preparations continue for the scheduled flag-off ceremony.
