The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has received commendation from the World Bank for its comprehensive, free services rendered to survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in Lagos State.

This recognition was given during a courtesy visit by World Bank representatives Lolita Laperie Forget, an Analyst, and Alena Sakhonchik, a Private Sector Specialist, to the DSVA office on December 11, 2024. The Executive Secretary of the agency, Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, welcomed the team and provided insights into the various frameworks implemented by Lagos State to prevent and respond to SGBV incidents.

The World Bank representatives highlighted their interest in the measures taken by the state to ensure the safety of women and children, especially survivors of sexual harassment, femicide, and other forms of abuse.

The visiting officers expressed their appreciation to the Executive Secretary and her team for sharing valuable information, which will contribute to the annual report of the Subnational Pilot Study on Women, Business, and the Law.
