THE NIGERIA DIASPORA FOR AṢÍWÁJÚ NDA PAYS SENATOR TANKO AL-MAKURA TA’AL, THE UNIFIER SOLIDARITY VISIT

The Nigeria Diaspora for Aṣíwájú, NDA led by its Director-General, Dr. Akin Lee Badeji today visited the former two-term governor of Nasarawa State, (now) Senator Tanko Al-Makura Ta’al in his Abuja home.

The Director-General hinted the host that the Group decided to pay him a courtesy as well as solidarity visit because the former governor had proven himself a UNIFIER among the Progressives. As the only Congress for Progressive Change, CPC governor before the merger that culminated in the formation of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Badeji said the former governor had shown he’s a pillar and force to reckon with in progressive politics. Hence, the visit.

In his remarks, the host, Senator Tanko Al-Makura, also accompanied by his compatriot, Senator Godiya Akwashiki expressed visible joy that the Nigeria Diaspora for Aṣíwájú, NDA could identify with him and honour him with such august visit. Senator Al-Makura described Aṣíwájú Bọ́lá Ahmed Tinubú as a bundle of political strategist, leadership embodiment and progressive turnarounder (sic). “Aṣíwájú played a very pivotal role in the formation of the All Progressives Congress, APC. He’s a leader with a difference.”

In her vote of thanks message to the host, the Deputy National Coordinator, Ms Oyinkánsọ́lá Okewoye thanked, very profusely, the host for giving the visiting team audience at a very short notice. She would go on to pray for strong health and success for the Senator in his new campaign for the chairmanship of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

On the entourage was the National Coordinator, Mr. Ọmọ́gbọ́láhàn Kòkúmọ́ BABAWALE, the Adviser to FCT, Hon. Danjuma Umar Farouk, the FCT Director, Mr. Olúṣayọ̀ Adéyẹmí, Director, Mobilization & Contacts, Abdurrazaq Danjuma, Organising Secretary, DG’s Office, Mr. Micky Mapayi, Mr. Abdul Umar among other members.

The Nigeria Diaspora for Aṣíwájú, NDA says it will not stop on its advocacy for a Tinubu Presidency as it believes very stubbornly in his turnaround mechanisms to change Nigeria for the better.
